Cant Continue in Boot Camp Assistant

Hi TD. I'm Greg, an Independent Advisor.

You said you have Enterprise, which is only legally activated by volume licensing using a business or organizaiton's on-site server. Thus you must have an IT desk who administer Group Policy and should most definitely be consulted on this since it probably crosses several of their set policies.

Otherwise there is good help here for Boot camp problems:

Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Hi, thanks for your response.

I had downloaded a copy of Enterprise via Microsoft's Media Creation Tool (using the KMS key listed in this help article) to test whether a different version of Windows would have potentially solved the issue. Given that I just wanted to test a different version, I do not have a product key for Enterprise nor do I want to activate (or even install) it. I just wanted to use it as a debugging tool to test whether my issue was caused by the edition of Windows that I'm using. To further clarify, I have ISOs for both Windows 10 Enterprise (MCT) and Windows 10 Professional (MS website).

I am planning to just reimage the MBP since I don't really have that much on there that I can't easily backup. While the links and videos you have posted are interesting, unfortunately none of them are directly related to my issue - furthermore, I do not feel comfortable using third-party software in order to install Windows.

If the reimage doesn't work, I'll likely give up as there's literally nothing I could think to do past that point, unless you have any suggestions.

Hi,

Try this

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8105928

Still the issue persist, back to macOS by pressing option key while startup and then delete the Windows.

Start the below procedure:

  • Download Win10 Home/Pro 64 bit from official site

  • Open Boot Camp Assistant and download the Windows supported software

  • Select the Windows 10 iso and follow as per the screen

Note: Don't plug any external devices.

I will definitely try the method mentioned in the Apple Support thread you linked as soon as I am able to. Hopefully, the second partition listed in the Boot Device menu leads to the Windows installer. as newer Macs like mine use a new install method that completely eliminates the use of external devices and instead runs the installer from a separate partition.

Thank you very much for your reply and I am hopeful this will solve the issue.

I gave you all the available troubleshooting for Boot camp install failure. What is missing?

Otherwise I hope the image works for you.  Keep me posted on your progress as I will be here to  help until the case is resolved.

I solved the issue myself: I needed to manually rebuild Windows' BCD file, using the steps outlined in this guide.

Thank you to all that replied to this post.
